Time for a new feature on Mondays, it’s now Mouse Ears Monday! Everyone loves their Mickey/Minnie ears, whether a hat or a headband, so why not have a weekly spotlight of one of the headpieces?
It’s fun to buy Mickey/Minnie ears when you are on vacation in Disney World or Disneyland. There is something special about picking out your ears for the trip. A lot of people, myself included, acquire quite a collection over the years. Then there are those people that are super crafty and can make their own ears. I’m always impressed by those and love seeing the different designs.
This week’s ears in the spotlight is a favorite, it’s my purple crown and feather ears headband. I’ve had these for about three years and I was still seeing them in the parks when I visited in May. I love the color purple and sparkles, so the second I saw these I knew they would be coming home with me.
The purple design on the ears and band have a velvety feel to them. It’s a very soft pair of ears.
While I love the design of the ears and band, it’s really the sparkly crown with the feathers that drew me to these particular ears. The crown is made out of a soft fabric, so it will change shape if things get put on top of it in your suitcase. The feathers are also delicate. So if something gets put on top of the feathers or they get pulled too hard they could break off.
The purple bow with the sparkly center and polka dotted crinoline add to the fancy feel of this Minnie Mouse ear headband. I love it!
As I said above, I’m pretty sure I saw it in stores when I was in Disney World in May. If you like the design of the ears you can check stores in the parks, the resorts, or Disney Springs. I found mine in the gift shop at the Yacht Club. The World of Disney Store in Disney Springs is huge and has a wide variety of ear hats and headbands, so that would be a good place to try too.
What’s you favorite pair of ears? Feel free to share in the comments or in our Facebook group!
