Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some good guesses, but three people knew where to find the map.
Congratulations to Doug, Shelly, and Disney Dennis, who all knew the map can be found at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Every Disney World hotel has maps like these at their resorts. Given how spread out a lot of the resorts are, it’s helpful to have these maps to get around the resort.
Caribbean Beach is one of my favorite moderate resorts. It has a fun vibe to it, plus it has a great pool. I know when everyone thinks of great Disney pools they probably think of Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach & Yacht Club Resorts, but Caribbean Beach has a great pool too, Fuentes del Morro. A few years back, when I was staying at the resort, I was taking pictures at night in the pool area (it was empty, so I didn’t feel weird taking pictures at the pool). Even at night the pool is great for pictures. As I was walking around the area of the pool, I started chatting with a cast member and she told me that pool is one of the most photographed pools on property, and it’s easy to see why. So if you stay at Caribbean Beach Resort definitely make time for at least one pool day.
Disney Skyliner
Another great feature of this hotel is that it is the hub for Disney’s Skyliner. The Skyliner takes guests to a bunch of different resorts and two theme parks. On Disney’s website they list Caribbean Beach Resort, Riviera Resort, Pop Century Resort, and Art of Animation Resort as the hotels available by Skyliner. However, I would add Beach Club Resort, Yacht Club Resort, and BoardWalk Resort to the list, because the EPCOT stop on the Skyliner is a short walk to each of these resorts (Yacht Club is the farthest). The two theme parks available by Skyliner are Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. It’s definitely a nice bonus to stay at a resort that has access to the Skyliner.

Dining at Caribbean Beach Resort
Caribbean Beach Resort also has some good dining options. Right in the main building by the lobby is Centertown Market and Centertown Market Grab & Go. Centertown Market is a fast-casual restaurant with seating for guests after they order their meal. The restaurant is designed to look like an indoor street market and features Latin inspired and Caribbean inspired foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Centertown Market Grab & Go is the place to go for quick snacks. It has bakery items, coffee, smoothies, bottle drinks, and other snacks that are good for on-the-go.

Other dining options include Sebastian’s Bistro, Banana Cabana, and Spy Glass Grill. All of the restaurants are on the resort grounds and offer a variety of foods, drinks, and atmosphere.

Activities at Caribbean Beach Resort
In addition to the main pool and the five leisure pools, there are other activities to enjoy at this resort. Some of them are a nightly occurrence, like Movie Under the Stars.
- Campfire Activities
- Movie Under the Stars (check with the front desk of your hotel for a schedule of movies during your stay)
- Fishing
- Volleyball
- Jogging Trail – 1.25 mile course with views of Barefoot Bay
- Playground
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the map and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. What’s your favorite feature of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort?
Thanks for reading!
