Yesterday turned out to be a kind of crazy day and I didn’t get to post a Friday’s Featured Photo. So this post was meant to be a stand in for the featured photo, but I might end up doing this as a weekly post. I like the sound of it! Thanks to my husband for the idea (credit where credit’s due).
So, for this week’s Saturday Snackshot we’re headed to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. My trip in May was the first time I have been able to experience this festival. Aside from the beautiful flower displays and the topiaries, Disney also has many food booths around the World Showcase.
Just like the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival there are booklets where you can check off which food items you have tried. We did this for Food & Wine and had fun keeping track of all the good food and drink we tried. I didn’t get to try too much, but what I did try was very good.
One of those items was this week’s Saturday Snackshot, the potato pancakes from the Bauermarkt in the Germany Pavilion. The pancakes came with a house-made apple sauce and they were delicious! I was tempted to get seconds. Guests could also order the pancakes with cartelized ham, onions, and herb sour cream.
I definitely recommend trying these pancakes if they are available at either of the festivals. I’m pretty sure I saw something like this at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival too. If you go to either of the festivals make sure to grab a festival passport at one of the entrances of the park. The passports have lists of all the booths and the food and drink that is available at each booth. This year’s passport had stickers inside for each of the booths, so you could mark off which booths you had visited and check off the food you tried. Another bonus to the passports is that they are free.
If you’ve never been to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival I highly recommend visiting during that time. It’s nice to stroll around the World Showcase visiting the different booths and looking at all the beautiful flowers and topiary designs.
Have you been to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival?
Thanks for reading!
