Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some really good guesses, but seven people knew where to find the waiting area.
Congratulations to Abbie, Caroline, Melanie, Barbara, Kathleen, Disney Dennis, and Kevin, who all knew the waiting area can be found at the Grand Floridian. Disney has little table and chair sets like this at all the resorts and they are themed to match the design of the hotel. It’s easy to overlook, especially if you don’t have kids in your party using the area, but these little sets are so cute. My kids are too big for the table and chairs now, but they definitely used them when they were little.
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is Disney World’s flagship resort and it is beautiful. One step into the lobby of the main building and it’s clear why “Grand” is in the name. Right now, the lobby is under construction through November 2025. Once completed one of the new features will be a Victorian style bar, which will be replacing the well-known birdcage in the lobby.
Even with the construction taking up a good portion of the lobby, it’s still worth visiting this hotel. There’s plenty to experience here and it’s on the monorail loop. So if you want to do the monorail hotel hop you will see this hotel during your hotel hopping. You will find plenty of restaurant options here, as well as some shopping options. Guests can also book a reservation to get pampered at the Grand Floridian Spa.
