Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some great guesses, but no one guessed the spot this week.
The popular guess for the sign was the Muppet Vision 3D building, which makes sense, but that’s not where this is located. The sign is actually located on the same building as the Hollywood Brown Derby. It’s around the corner from the outdoor dining area of the lounge. I can understand why people thought it would be at the Muppet’s building, but that’s one reason I love looking for pictures for this feature, I notice new things when I look up.
The Hollywood Brown Derby is located in Hollywood Studios and themed after the original restaurant in California of the same name. Inside is impressive, with big archways and large chandeliers hanging overhead. Just like the original restaurant, there are drawings of famous faces hanging throughout the dining area and the lobby. There are a variety of items on the menu, including the famous Cobb Salad, which is rumored to have been created in the kitchen of the Hollywood restaurant late at night. In addition to the inside dining area (reservations recommended) there is also an outdoor dining area at the lounge. Reservations are not taken here, but there is a walk up list you can put your name on and they will text you when your table is ready. I’ve been to the lounge twice and both times it was a very nice experience.
Thank you to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. Have you been to the Hollywood Brown Derby in Hollywood Studios?
Thanks for reading!
