One of the popular Disney topics is Disney food, so when a new restaurant opening is announced there’s definite interest. This time EPCOT’s Japan pavilion will see a new restaurant opening this summer.
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya is a table-service restaurant that will serve a variety of items. Guests can expect to see an open grill at this restaurant, so the menu will include food off the grill as well as sushi items. For those that want a more up close experience, take a seat at the sushi bar and watch your sushi being made. Some menu items include Kobore Sushi, Tokyo Negi Roll, Funamori (served on a boat shaped platter), The Monster Roll, Karaage Chicken, Salmon Misoyaki, and Okonomiyaki (savory pancake).
The restaurant is located on the second floor of the Japan pavilion, so guests dining there during the fireworks show will get a great show with dinner. Even without the fireworks, the views of EPCOT and World Showcase Lagoon are a nice bonus for dining here. At Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya the festivals of Japan will be part of the atmosphere. Expect to see hand painted artwork and lanterns that highlight the natural wonders of Japan. There will also be season festivities that will be seen throughout the restaurant and the meal.
No exact opening date has been announced yet, but as we’ll keep an eye out for that announcement. Are you excited for this new dining experience in EPCOT?
Thanks for reading!
