Pandora – The World of Avatar is opening later this month (May 27) and there has been much anticipation surrounding the opening. It’s been years in the making, so people’s expectations are pretty high.
Disney has been giving fans a sneak peek at different parts of the new land and it does look amazing. The latest video they have released shows the amazingly impressive animatronic that guests will encounter on the Na’vi River Journey. The motions of this animatronic are so fluid that it almost looks real. The animatronics have sure come a long way!

According to Disney, this is the most complicated animatronic that Disney Imagineering has ever created and that’s pretty clear once you see the movements of the animatronic. I can’t get over how real the Na’vi Shaman of Songs looks!
With everything Disney has released about Pandora – The World of Avatar this new land is going to be amazing to explore. From day to night, it’s going to be a popular place to be in Animal Kingdom.

We are arriving on 5/25 and leave 6/2. We are staying at AK Kidani Village 1BR Suite w/savanna view. Always wanted to stay at AK but didn’t want to spend extra for Deluxe Resort. We plan to be at rope drop on 5/27 opening day for Pandora. Crowds are going to be bad but my son said when else can we be at Disney for opening day for something like this. We are very excited as if this was our first trip!!

Liz we were able to get fast passes to both rides. Plus since we are staying at AK we are planning to go late (until 1am) during extra magical hours and hopefully be able to jump on again with lighter crowds! We can hope.
