Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. Five people knew where to find this view.
Congratulations to Shelly, Doug, Abbie, Kevin, and Disney Dennis, who all knew the view can be found in the Little Mermaid area of Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. Specifically, as Kevin pointed out, it’s in the queue for Ariel’s Grotto. This is the area where guests can meet Ariel and take pictures. Just like other queue lines, this one is designed to fit the theme of the attraction, so there’s a lot of shells and other things that give the idea that you are supposed to be in the ocean visiting Ariel.
Ariel’s Grotto is located next to Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid. This attraction takes guests on a journey through the story of The Little Mermaid in a clam mobile. Guests will see characters and scenes they know from the movie, and hear some of the classic songs. It’s a cute ride that the whole family can enjoy.
This is a great spot for younger kids who love Ariel, since both the meet and greet and the ride are right next to each other. Plus, meeting Ariel at her Grotto is the only place guests can have pictures taken with Ariel as a mermaid, so it’s unique to other areas in the theme parks where guests see her as a human.
