This week’s snackshot takes us to the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.
Among the wooded grounds at Fort Wilderness guests can find Pioneer Hall. In this hall is where one of Disney’s most popular (if not the most popular) dinner show is put on every night. Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a vaudeville style show that brings the laughs through slapstick comedy. The cast of characters keeps you entertained for the 2 hours that you are there.
Pioneer Hall Players
- Claire de Lune
- Johnny Ringo
- Dolly Drew
- Six Bit Slocum
- Flora Long
- Jim Handy
Along with the show, guests also get a family style all-you-care-to-enjoy meal filled with lots of delicious food. The food is served in buckets and refills are available if needed.
Here’s what’s included with dinner:
- Fried Chicken
- Smoked BBQ Pork Ribs
- Tossed Green Salad
- Baked Beans
- Fresh-baked Cornbread
Once dinner is over the dessert is brought to the table and this is what brings us to the Saturday Snackshot. The strawberry shortcake is also served family style and there is plenty to go around. It is served with enough spoons for everyone at the table too.
While the food served at dinner is very good, I highly recommend leaving room for this delicious dessert. The cake is surrounded by strawberries on the bottom, filled with strawberries and whipped cream, and topped with more whipped cream and strawberries. Yum!
So the next time you are looking for a fun experience that also includes good food, grab some reservations for Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Don’t forget to save room for dessert!
Have you ever had the strawberry shortcake at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue?
Thanks for reading!

You forgot the cornbread one of the tastiest parts of the meal.
Hi Tom!
The cornbread is included in the list of menu items that every table gets. I agree that the cornbread is really good. I could probably make a meal of that alone! LOL
