This week’s ears in the spotlight are a festive pair that are perfect for this time of year.
I purchased these ears last November when I was in Disney World. They were available almost everywhere that sold ears, so they’re easy to find. However, it looks like Disney has changed the look a little this year.
This year, the ears and headband are red and the bow is green, which is the opposite of the pair I have. Another difference is that my pair has a holly berry and leaf design, but this year’s ears do not have the same design. They’re still fun ears though!
The ears for this week are green and red sequined ears. The headband and ears are covered with green sequins, so they are very sparkly. The inside of the headband is a velvety material, which gives some comfort while you wear them.
Also on these ears is the holly berry design. It’s really cute, because the berries are in the form of Mickey (of course). My only issue with this design is that the bow covers most of the holly berry and leaf design. It’s easy to forget it is there, because you can’t see it all unless you move the bow. I’m guessing this is one of the reasons the new sequined ears don’t have the same design.
The bow is covered in red sequins, so it sparkles just like the ears and headband. It has an outline of the red fabric, which gives it a nice border.
I’m not sure if these ears are still available in the parks. We are going to Disney World soon and I’ll keep an eye out for them while we are there. It really looks like they were replaced with the red and green ones (red headband and ears and green bow). Other than the missing holly design, I think the only other difference is that they swapped the colors.
The newer ears can be found in the parks, on the Shop Disney Parks app, and on shopDisney.com. They are $24.99, which is the going price for sequined ears these days.
