There are multiple dessert parties that Disney World usually offers at different parks. One of those dessert parties includes a VIP viewing of Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios.
The Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience is a bit different from other dessert parties. Usually, the parties gather guests for food and drinks and then move them to a separate viewing location. With this experience, guests pick up their food and drink from stands and then head to their seats for the show. It’s good to show up early so you have time to get your food and sit down to eat it before the show starts.
It’s important to keep in mind that the food items in the box do change, so if you try this experience you may receive some different items. I believe some of the items, like the cheese and crackers and the chocolate covered strawberries, are usually included. I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the food I received. Before this experience, I had only been to one other dessert party and the food was not very good, but that was not the case here. Everything that was in the box was really good, including the fruit. So many times when fruit is included in prepackaged items it ends up have a “blah” taste to it, especially the grapes. However, in this case the fruit was very good, so that was a nice surprise.
Food Items Pictured
- Chocolate Covered Strawberries
- Chocolate Mouse – Served with crispy pearls on top and a white chocolate coin with Sorcerer Mickey on it.
- Evil Queen’s Apple Cake – Topped with oatmeal crisp.
- Ursula’s Cheesecake – Topped with strawberry pearls.
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownie
- Passion Fruit and Mango Macarons
- Mini Babybel Snack Cheese
- Crackers
- Grapes
Admittedly, it was a little awkward eating with the box on my lap, but most of the food was easy to eat with one hand. You can see my full review on this experience here.
The cost of the Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience is $39 per person, making it one of the most inexpensive dessert and viewing combo experiences on property. I was pleased with this experience and would definitely do it again. Unfortunately, right now the dessert parties are unavailable. Hopefully, we’ll see these experiences return to the parks when the nighttime spectaculars return.
Hope you enjoyed this week’s Snackshot! Have you tried any of the dessert parties?
Thanks for reading!

I wish they would stop advertising things that are not available to do during this time. I get it having something not open now but don’t post on site and when you go to book says unavailable.
Hi Gloria!
I’m sorry for the confusion, but I did mention in the article that this experience is not available right now because the nighttime shows are not taking place at this time. I didn’t mean for it to come across as advertising or tricking people into thinking it’s open, that was definitely not my intention, which is why I stated that it’s not open, but will hopefully return soon (fingers crossed!). These are just meant to be fun articles to enjoy the different pictures of food options Disney World offers. Sorry again for the confusion!
