Today’s Picture of the Day comes from Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom.
Gaston’s Tavern is located near Be Our Guest Restaurant and Bonjour! Village Gifts. The inside of the tavern is set up exactly how you would imagine it would be. There are antlers all over the place and a huge chair that Gaston sits in when he is there. It has a very “rugged” and “manly” feel to it, a place where a guy who eats five dozen eggs would definitely spend his free time.
The tavern does offer some food and drinks for guests to order. Then you can take your food to one of the tables and take in decor. It’s fun to look around and notice all the details, like the score for the darts games.
While they offer things like a ham and cheese-stuffed pretzel, mixed fruit cups, hummus and chips, sliced apples with caramel sauce, chocolate croissants, mixed vegetables with dip, and assorted beverages, the most popular item is probably the cinnamon roll. It’s a really good and even big enough to satisfy Gaston’s appetite!
We really liked taking a break inside Gaston’s Tavern. The food was good and the decor was really fun. I love how they kept very true to the character of Gaston when designing the tavern. Plus, when you are done eating you can take your picture in front of the fountain in the above picture and you might be lucky enough to catch Gaston himself posing for pictures with guests.
Have you tried Gaston’s Tavern?

We love Gsston and his tavern. The LaFou’s Brew is one of our favorites. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy veggies and dip, which takes away some of the guilt of eating junk all day. I wish they still served the pork shank! It was delicious and big enough to share.
