Usually when people think about Disney World the word “busy” will come to mind. Disney World is big and has lots of things to do, so it makes sense that vacations would be busy. However, there are also lots of quiet spots to take advantage of while on Disney property.
While exploring Disney World, it’s always good to be able to take some time to relax and take in your surroundings. One of my favorite places to relax is by the gardens in the Canada Pavilion in Epcot. The gardens are beautiful, so it’s nice to look around and take it in. There’s also a bridge in Magic Kingdom that looks towards another bridge. I took a picture of this, because it just felt like a very peaceful place in the middle of a busy park.
Animal Kingdom has a lot of great places to stand and enjoy the view. Most of them are on the trails to see the animals, but there are some spots around the tree of life as well. Hollywood Studios is a little limited these days, because of the construction going on there.
You can find some peaceful spots in Disney Springs too. There’s lots of water there and water can be very peaceful and relaxing. Some people also find it while doing some window shopping. I love going to Disney Springs and just walking around. Even at night, when Disney Springs gets busy, you can find moments that feel peaceful.
On a recent trip, while taking a break from walking around, I looked around at the twinkling lights in the trees and the “floating” lanterns in the water and felt peace. It was at night, so it definitely wasn’t quiet. There was plenty of music and a lot of people in the shopping and dining area, but it still felt relaxing. Love it.
Here’s a quick video of some of the lights at Disney Springs:
My suggestion would be to try to add some down time to your days, so you can enjoy these relaxing moments. Disney time seems to move faster than normal. So it’s easy to get wrapped up in the idea that you have to “go, go, go” while you are in Disney World, but try to have that time where you get to look around and take in your surroundings. It’s worth it.
Do you have a favorite peaceful spot in Disney World?

Love this! I used to have a spot in what is now Disney Springs. It was a bench near the water and I used to go there and sit and watch the boats go in and out. I told my then boyfriend about it and he ended up proposing to me there! We have been married now for almost 20 years.
Awww! What a great story! That area really is great for relaxing and taking a break 🙂
My daughter and I are frequent visitors to Disney World and have been vacation club members since 2009. We found that when we really need to relax and don’t want to go back to our resort rooms, we can always find a peaceful place in one of the resort lobbies. We try and visit ones we are not “living” in and just chill out on the comfy furniture. Jambo House at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, and Grand Floridian are a few that we especially like to visit. On really hot days when we have been out and about all morning and need a break, these resorts’ lobbies are welcoming, quiet, and cool.
Love the Animal Kingdom Lodge lobby! It’s so peaceful, plus the animals are right outside 🙂
