The anticipation has been building for quite a while now and people have been waiting for an opening date to be announced. Now, we have an opening date for Frozen Ever After and the Royal Sommerhus.
According to Disney Parks Blog, both new attractions will open on June 21. Just around the corner!
These attractions are in the Norway pavilion and both will, obviously, focus on the movie Frozen. The ride, Frozen Ever After, is located in the former Maelstrom location and will take guests to Arendelle where Queen Elsa is embracing her magical powers for the “Summer Snow Day” celebration.
FastPasses for Frozen Ever After will open tomorrow, Saturday May 21.
The Royal Sommerhus is where guests can meet Anna and Elsa. This is the sisters’ summer home and they welcome guests to visit them.
The hours for the Norway pavilion will be extended, as it will be opening at 9 a.m. which is when Future World in Epcot opens.
If you are hoping to get a FastPass for the ride, I wouldn’t wait. I’m guess the FastPasses will fill up quickly.
I know there are some mixed feelings about the ride, but I’m excited to see what they have done with it. I feel like the Norway pavilion has been a little overlooked and now it will make it a must-see for a lot of people. Make sure to grab some school bread while you are there!
Are you excited for these attractions?
Thanks for reading!

I’m a little confused. I have Epcot booked for 2 days in July with a fast pass for Soaring one day and Test Track the other. Now that Frozen is up for grabbing, I’m not allowed to unless I remove one of these??? Am I doing something wrong or is the new Frozen part of this tier thing? What are our chances of riding all 3 between 2 days??
Hi Kelly!
From what I understand, it is part of the tier one group experience. So that means it would be grouped with Soarin’ and Test Track, and you would only be allowed to schedule one from that group per day. You can always remove Test Track and try for a FastPass later in the day, once you have used the initial three FastPasses. I definitely would not remove Soarin’ though.
Hope this helps!
Thank you! That’s exactly what I did. I swapped out Test Track and grabbed Frozen. We don’t mind waiting for tt. Thanks again!
Yay! So glad you got Frozen!! Test Track also has a single rider line, so if you don’t mind the possibility of not riding together you can go for that line. 🙂
Oh no! It’s my 9 year old and I. We can wait. We have an 8 day park pass with 2 days planned for Epcot, but I have the hopper also so we can hop around!! 50 days to go. Getting very excited!
Having the Park Hopper option is great! We did that last time and loved the freedom that came along with it. I’m excited for you!! I hope your trip is filled with lots of magic and pixie dust!!
