The Penguin Fountain at the Grand Floridian Villas
This week’s featured photo is from the Grand Floridian’s Disney Vacation Club (DVC) lobby.
I found this fountain during my last trip to Disney World this past November. Had it not been for Melissa sharing her points, I probably wouldn’t have seen this very cute fountain. So, thanks again Melissa!
The fountain is one of the cutest fountains on Disney World property. Statues of the penguins from Mary Poppins are part of it! There are seven penguins in total that are placed in the fountain. The poses of the statues make them look like they are running around just like they did in the movie. It’s one of my favorite fountains on property now.
It is located in the lobby of the Grand Floridian Disney Vacation Club building. This building is separate from the main building of the Grand Floridian. There is a walkway that will lead you right to the DVC building. It’s not a long walk from the main building, and the scenery along the way is nice. In fact, you will pass another nice fountain on the way to the DVC building. There are some nice photo opportunities as you make you way to the DVC lobby, so make sure to stop and take advantage of this spots.
Once you enter the lobby you will feel the warmth and comfort. There are lots of comfy chairs and sofas around the lobby, a nice chess set is available for guests to use, and there are some beautiful decorations in the lobby as well. It may not be as big (or grand) as the lobby in the main building, but it is pretty impressive on its own.
If you have a chance to see this DVC lobby I would take it. If not for anything else than to get a picture of this cute fountain.
Have you ever seen the penguin fountain?
Thanks for reading!
