Disney is constantly updating things around Walt Disney World. Sometimes these updates include changes to the restaurants on property.
Disney has announced that they will be replacing Liberty Inn at The American Adventure pavilion with a new barbecue restaurant. The new eatery will feature craft brews on tap, so this sounds like it will be a good place for fans of craft beer. There will also be a large smoker in the restaurant preparing the food for guests.
Disney is calling the new restaurant “Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue” and they are describing it as a “modern barbecue smokehouse.” Another change that will be coming to this location is a redesigned patio for guests to use while enjoying their beer and barbecue.
Liberty Inn will be closing on July 8, 2019 and the redesign will begin. Disney did not give a reopening date, but I’ll keep a lookout for it and update when Disney announces a reopening date.
How do you feel about the redesign? Will you miss Liberty Inn or are you excited for barbecue and craft beer?
Thanks for reading!

Regal. – Of, resembling, or fit for a monarch.
Does the name bother anyone else?
I’m good with it anywhere other than the American Pavillion, specifically because these spaces embody the spirit of the nations they represent. Why choose a word that means the very thing our nation was found in opposition to?
Love Disney, not really bothered, just think it was an odd choice. Rename it Hamilton’s Cafe and see if you can feature Lin Manuel Miranda when he comes down for Moana tie ins… 🙂
