Disney has made changes to their packages they offer guests. Guests have been able to book their airfare with their Disney vacation packages in the past, but that is set to change in 2021.
It has been announced that beginning in 2021 Disney will no longer offer air transportation as part of the packages guests book. This decision will affect those traveling to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. They will continue to make new airline bookings for travel through the end of 2020, so if you are traveling before the end of the year and booked air travel with them (or plan to) you will be fine. Disney noted that this includes both consumer-direct and third-party bookings.
This does not include Magical Express, so don’t worry. This just concerns the booking of the airline tickets, not the transportation from Orlando International Airport to your Disney World hotel.
Do you usually book your air travel separately or with your Disney vacation package?

Never understood the benefit of booking flights through Disney. I guess being Canadian and my wife is very eager to plan way ahead of schedule and looking for flight deals so we aren’t paying 700-800 x 5 for flights, so we are booked 12-14 months in advance usually for flights.
We always book our own airline reservations. But we certainly love and always enjoy our trip from the airport to Disney World on the Disney Express. The excitement builds on the ride.
I always book my airfare separately. It’s too expensive to use their partner airlines.
