Disney has multiple dessert parties that guests can choose from at different parks. The prices vary for each and the Magic Kingdom dessert parties just got a price increase.
There is a reason for the increase though, the didn’t just up the price because they felt like it. The reason for the increase is that Disney is adding beer and wine to the all-you-care-to-enjoy sweet and savory buffet. This is good for those that enjoy having a beer or a glass of wine with their food, but if you don’t like beer or wine then I can see how this price increase would be disappointing.
Price Increase by Dessert Party
- Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace
- Old Price (ended on January 31, 2020): Adults (ages 10+) $84/Children (ages 3-9) $50
- New Price (began on February 1, 2020): Adults (ages 10+) $99/Children (ages 3-9) $59
- Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing
- Old Price (ended on January 31, 2020): Adults (ages 10+) $69/Children (ages 3-9) $41
- New Price (began on February 1, 2020): Adults (ages 10+) $79/Children (ages 3-9) $47
- Magic Kingdom After-Fireworks Dessert Party
- Old Price (ended on January 31, 2020): Adults (ages 10+) $69/Children (ages 3-9) $41
- New Price (began on February 1, 2020): Adults (ages 10+) $89/Children (ages 3-9) $53
Even with the price increase it’s still in line with the other dessert parties. The only exception is the Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience, which is a much less expensive $39 per adult and $19 per child, but it’s also not a buffet. You can read my review of the Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience here.
So, what are your thoughts? Are you happy that they are adding beer and wine as an option, or would you rather have the lower price?
Thanks for reading!

Amazing how disney world keeps adding ways to get drunk at its parks and yet has no smoking areas. This explains why the orlando area has one of the highest accident rates in the country due to impaired driving. Shame
I think they need to add a color code for parties and dining plans that separate those that like to have alcoholic beverages and those that don’t. Keep a lower price code for those that don’t. We shouldn’t have to pay a higher fee if we don’t drink alcohol. It wouldn’t be that hard to do. It could be attached with their magic bands.
I like that idea, Jerry!
Agreed.
Yes. I love that idea jerry however its pretty obvious that disney world wants to cash in on the alcohol thing. From the meal plans to fireworks dessert parties its being pushed hard
Ive been a regular visitor twice a year for 40 years and must say that im not impressed with the changes in the last few years
Maybe its time to book a universal vacation.
I feel like they are trying everything to get rid of there long time enthusiasts and i dont feel as welcomed as i used to
So interestingly, there is NOT alcohol at the plaza viewing dessert party. We paid the higher price and were expecting to have alcohol just this past Friday. But when we arrived we were informed that it was only included in terrace viewing ♀️
