Looking to adopt a banshee when you visit Pandora? You may have to wait.
I have heard from multiple people that Windtraders, the gift shop where you can adopt a banshee, is out of banshees. From what I understand it could be up to three weeks before Disney has more banshees available for adoption, which is sure to upset a lot of people who planned on visiting The Rookery.
Windtraders was my first stop on opening day of Pandora – The World of Avatar. I was one of the first in the gift shop that day and it was a fun experience to adopt a banshee. It sounds like Disney did not anticipate how popular this experience would be.

In fact, after adopting my banshee I went for breakfast at Satu’li Canteen and when I came out the line for the gift shop had grown a crazy amount. There were so many people waiting in line to get into the gift shop!
I’m pretty sure a lot of those people were waiting to get banshees and I can’t say I blame them, the banshees are pretty cool. Unfortunately, they proved to be so popular that there are no more banshees in The Rookery. Hopefully, once they are back at Windtraders there will be plenty for people to interact and bond with.
Keeping my fingers crossed Disney gets banshees back in stock soon!

Do you have any idea why the avatar rides are constantly showing the rides are closed on all apps that give Disney wait times? Are they having trouble technically or is it the sheer volume of people queuing.
I have noticed the wait times go up to 5hrs

It’s because of the amount of people getting in line. I haven’t heard anything about any technical issues, and it’s still really crowded in that section, so the wait times have been crazy! It’s definitely best to have a FastPass, especially for Flight of Passage.
