Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some great guesses, but one person knew where to find the statue.
Congratulations to Caroline who knew that the statue can be found at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. To find the statue you will need to take the stairs to the second floor of the hotel from the main lobby. I had never noticed it before, but the last time I was there with my family we walked around a bit and noticed it. There’s lots of things like that to see at all the hotels, Disney does a good job with decorations and keeping them to the theme of the hotel.
Also located off the Beach Club’s lobby is Cape May Cafe, an all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. During breakfast guests can meet Minnie and friends for Minnie’s Beach Bash. The characters wear their beach outfits as they make their way around the dining room to meet with guests. Dinner is just the meal, the characters do not make an appearance at dinner. So if you want to see the characters, make sure to book breakfast.
The menus consist of standard buffet items, with a few special items available. For breakfast there are things like fruit, oatmeal, grits, eggs, waffles, french toast, bacon, sausage, omelet station, and carving station. In addition, salted caramel “Beach Buns” are brought to the table and are served with vanilla cream.
For dinner, the menu focuses more on seafood, but there are other choices available as well. Guests will find things like salad, New England clam chowder, plant-based seasonal soup, a carving station, a fried seafood selection, New England traditional steam boil, paella, roasted chicken, snow crab legs ($29 per pound), catch of the day, plant-based dishes, vegetables, dessert, and a children’s section. There are also specialty drinks available.
Congratulations to Caroline for knowing where to find the statue and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. Have you been to Disney’s Beach Club Resort?
Thanks for reading!
