Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some good guesses, but nine people knew exactly where to find the light.
Congratulations to Kim, Randi, Diane, Pat, Pam, Becky, Judy, Addi, and Rosie who all knew the light can be found in Animal Kingdom Lodge. The light part of the decor in the hotel lobby and hangs from the very high ceilings. Walking into the lobby of Animal Kingdom Lodge, especially for people seeing if for the first time, is a pretty amazing sight. From the thatched ceiling, large beams, African artifacts, hand carved furniture, and more, it’s a space that deserves to have time spent in it. There is a lot to take in when in the lobby, including a window looking out at the ground where animals wonder.
Those animals wondering the hotel grounds are a big part of why guests love this hotel. Another thing that makes the hotel popular is the food. Boma – Flavors of Africa and Jiko – The Cooking Place are two favorites among guests. Boma is an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet where guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner. Jiko is one of Disney World’s signature dining restaurants that serves dinner.
Transportation for the resort is limited to buses, since it’s closer to Animal Kingdom than any other park. However, what the hotel may lack in transportation options it makes up for in experiences. Having over 30 species of animals at the resort means guests can spend a good amount of time getting close looks without crowds they would encounter in Animal Kingdom Park. Plus, there are Animal Specialists on hand that will answer questions and lead programs for guests. For an extra cost, there is also a safari that takes place for hotel guests. In addition, Kidani Village is next to this resort, so guests can visit there easily and explore that resort as well.
Even if you don’t plan to stay at this hotel it’s definitely worth a stop. Like other Disney World hotels there is a lot to see and experience at Animal Kingdom Lodge!
Congratulations to all who knew where to find the light and thanks to everyone who played along. Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon!
Have you been to Animal Kingdom Lodge?
Thanks for reading!
