Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. Four people were able to correctly identify where the mosaic is located.
Congratulations to Addi, Disney Dennis, Judy, and Kim who all knew the mosaic is located on the sign to the entrance for the Land Pavilion in Epcot! Guests will notice this sign situated in the middle of both paths. The paths lead to the Land Pavilion building where guests will find two floors of attractions and dining.
Inside this pavilion are two rides, a couple of dining options, and a movie guests can experience. One of Disney’s most popular rides is in this building. Soarin’ takes guests around the world, flying above some beautiful scenes. With the 180-degree , 80-ft IMAX screen there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Once everyone is securely in their seats, the ride lifts guests up in front of the screen and the adventure begins!
Places Visited During the Ride Include:
- Swiss Alps
- Greenland
- Sydney Harbour in Australia
- Mount Kilimanjaro
- Great Wall of China
- Great Pyramids of Egypt
- Taj Mahal in India
- Monument Valley
- Figi’s Lau Island
- Iguazu Falls in South America
- Eiffel Tower in Paris
In addition to Soarin’, guests can also ride Living with the Land. This boat ride takes guests on a tour of Disney’s greenhouses and fish farm, while also hearing the history of farming. Disney has some interesting ways of growing their fruits and vegetables, which are used in the restaurants in the building, so it’s always fun to float through the greenhouse. Plus, this is a great ride for those looking for a break from walking around the park.
Another way to give your feet a rest, and check out a movie, is to head to a showing of Awesome Planet. This 10-minute movie tells the story of life on Earth and the importance of caring for it. In addition to the visual of the movie, Disney also uses theater effects like wind, scents, and water.
Feeling hungry? There are two dining options in the Land Pavilion, a quick service and a table service restaurant. The quick service restaurant is Sunshine Seasons and has a variety of options to choose from for both lunch and dinner. The table service restaurant is Garden Grill, which is also a character dining restaurant. Chip, Dale, and their Disney friends make appearances while guests are enjoying their family-style meals. The unique feature with this restaurant is that it spins, ever so slightly, while guests eat. While it spins, different scenes from Living with the Land are visible.
Congratulations again to everyone who knew where to find the mosaic and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
What’s your favorite thing to do when visiting the Land Pavilion?
Thanks for reading!
