Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. Once again there were some good guesses, but quite a few of you knew where to find the light.
Congratulations to: Lori, Paula & Garry, Melanie, Rylie, Doug, SK, Jennifer, Sam, Ellen, Abbie, Zoe, and Theresa (Facebook), who all knew that the light can be found at the Riviera Resort. This is one of Disney’s newest hotels and it is beautiful. If you’re not staying there, it’s definitely worth exploring if you are there for a dining reservation. The lobby is beautiful and you get that grand feeling as you enter and see this light fixture. The beauty doesn’t stop at the lobby though, the whole hotel is very nice.
Before the shut down, my friends and I stopped at the resort to explore when we were there in March. It’s an impressive hotel and the decor is what makes it fun to walk around and explore. One of the areas I really liked was a room for guests to hang out, while charging devices, and it looked like a study with books lining the walls. There are also some pictures of Walt Disney and some beautiful art throughout the hotel.
Another piece of art that is a must see at this resort are the mosaics. You can find the mosaics in a covered area with a fountain. These two beautiful mosaics both wrapped around the inside of the arch and over the fountain. One is themed after Tangled and the other is themed after Peter Pan. The colors and details in the mosaics are stunning. It would be very easy to sit there for a while, listening to the fountain and looking at the mosaics.
Guests can also make reservations at the rooftop restaurant, Topolino’s Terrace, which gives beautiful views of Disney World. You can see Tower of Terror and the World Showcase from the top, so it’s nice to sit up there and take in the sights.
Another bonus of this hotel is that it is a Skyliner hotel. So there is a Skyliner station that guests can use to get to other Disney Resort hotels (Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and Art of Animation) or to a couple of the theme parks (Epcot and Hollywood Studios).
Congratulations to those that knew where to find the light and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
Have you been to the Riviera Resort?
Thanks for reading!
