Disney’s newest experience in Disney Springs will begin in December 16. It’s a hyper-reality experience and it will pique the interest of any Star Wars fan.
Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire will immerse guests in a Star Wars story with this hyper-reality technology. It allows guests to walk around and explore, as if they were actually on a planet in the Star Wars universe.
This is something guests can experience with family and friends. The experience takes groups of four to “go undercover as stormtroopers to capture Imperial intelligence vital to the budding rebellion’s survival,” according to Disney.
This will also be available to guests in Downtown Disney at Disneyland beginning January 5. If you are curious what the experience will be like, check out Disney’s video below.
I think this experience looks really cool. People who aren’t fans of Star Wars (I know, gasp!) would probably enjoy this experience too. It will be interesting to see if this opens the door for other hyper-reality experiences in the Disney parks. Guess we will have to wait and see!
More information, including ticket information, can be found at thevoid.com. It looks like tickets are $29.95 for general admission. According to their FAQ page, guests have to be at least 48″ to participate and they suggest that kids be at least 10 years old. The age suggestion is because of the weight of the gear and because the content can be a little intense.
What do you think about this? Is this an experience you would try?
Thanks for reading!
