The Animation Experience is where guests can learn to draw different Disney characters. When I went we drew Simba and my drawing actually looked like Simba! If you had seen other drawings I’ve done you’d understand why the end result was exciting.
This is a great, free, experience to try when you’re in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Just take the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch and head up the path to the main building, the Animation Experience is in the middle of the building. It’s gaining in popularity, so check and see if a FastPass before you go.
In addition to “The Lion King” characters, Disney has decided to add Disney Villains to the lineup. Scar from “The Lion King” is already in rotation, but beginning on October 18 other villains will be in rotation as well. Characters that will be added to the rotation include Bruce from “Finding Nemo,” Hopper from “A Bug’s Life,” ShereKhan from “The Jungle Book,” and Tic Toc from “Peter Pan.”
Disney has posted some tutorials online that you can try at home. Zazu, Timon, and Simba are all available to watch online.
What Disney character would you like to see added to the Animation Experience?
Thanks for reading!
