With the popularity of the “Frozen Fever” short, Disney has decided to offer some special treats for a limited time. They are available now at Disneyland Resort and will be available at Walt Disney World starting April 8th.
Anna’s Happy Birthday cupcake looks pretty good. It’s vanilla with blue buttercream frosting, marshmallows, snowflake candies, and it has a white chocolate Olaf on the top.

Here is where you can get this cupcake:
Another new treat is Olaf’s Perfect Sundae Day. This is a birthday cake-flavored ice cream with lots of hot fudge, mint marshmallows, brownie pieces, whipped cream, and sprinkles.

Here is where you can find this delicious looking treat:
The special treats don’t end there. At select table-service restaurants you will be able to order an ice-cream cake that is inspired by Princess Anna’s birthday cake.

According to D23.com, the first Star Wars stand alone film, Rogue One, will begin shooting in London this summer and be ready for release on December 16, 2016. The film will explore characters and stories other than those in the main Star Wars story line.
A second announcement regarding Star Wars confirmed plans to film a Star Wars: Episode VIII, which will continue the main saga of Star Wars. This film is set to be released on May 26, 2017 (40 years and a day after the release of Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977).
The big Frozen news is that Frozen 2 is in production. There is no official release date, but Frozen fans will be happy to know there is a second one coming to theaters at some point.

Another 24-hour event has been announced for Magic Kingdom in Disney World! The 24-hour party will kick off the “Coolest Summer Ever.” Olaf will be the official host for the summer celebration.

Disney announced the plans in a cute way, by bringing a 20 foot wide beach near Faneuil Hall in Boston. Poor Boston has been hit hard this winter with snow and cold weather. So, just like Disney did at the Long Island Mall, they brought some magic to those dealing with this less-than-fun winter in Boston.
Here is more info from Thomas Smith, Social Media Director for Disney Parks, and Disney Parks Blog:

There’s more to come, so keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for future details and information about the “Coolest Summer Ever.”
We will keep you updated on further news and plans for the “Coolest Summer Ever,” but it looks like it’s going to be a pretty fun summer in Disney World!

Ready to have some selfie fun? Disney has come out with a new app that will help you show your Disney Side.
The app gives you a choice of 3 Frozen characters, 3 Star Wars characters, and 3 Pirates of the Caribbean characters. There are also 3 Haunted Mansion characters to choose from, but you have to either visit Disney World/Disneyland or share 3 of your selfie Disney Side pictures on Facebook or Twitter for them to unlock.
My daughter and I played around with the pictures and it’s a really cute app! I’m not so sure about the Elsa option though. I think because of how her dress is designed and the way her hair is, it’s hard to get a good picture without your own shirt or hair showing. Either way, my daughter loved that her picture turned into Elsa.
Some of the features of the app:
One other thing I noticed is that if you take a picture of a picture, it will still work. I tried it with a picture of myself, instead of taking a traditional selfie, and it still recognized the face. However, if you are not standing or sitting straight in the original picture, then the Disney Side picture will end up tilted, but it’s still fun.
To download the app, click here. For more info, click here.
Here are some I played around with. I love the video!

Today was the first day of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Beautiful flowers and fun topiary designs now decorate Epcot. There is lots to do during the festival, besides seeing the flowers and gardens.
You can try the Outdoor Kitchens around the World Showcase. There are 11 of these outdoor kitchens to try and they include foods from all over the world.
There are fun play areas for the kids, Mike and Sulley’s Monstrous Garden and the Living Desert Road Rally Garden with Mater and Lightning McQueen topiaries.
Once the evening comes, you can have a good time with the Garden Rocks concert series. The Gin Blossoms are kicking of the series and my inner ’90s teenager is pretty psyched about that!
Check out the video to see some of the new topiaries!
