Well, that’s not good. The float in parade is supposed to breathe fire, but it ended up catching fire during the parade this afternoon.
The Festival of Fantasy Parade is Disney’s afternoon parade that makes its way from Adventureland down Main Street U.S.A. All the floats are fun to look at, but the most impressive float is the one with the fire breathing Maleficent dragon. It’s very cool to see in person.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the fire occurred today when the float was in Liberty Square. Disney was able to put the fire out quickly and luckily there are no injuries. In the article, a spokeswoman for Disney said that they will be looking into why this happened.
Here’s the video that the Orland Sentinel posted:

I’m not sure how long the dragon is going to be out of commission, but I’ll keep you posted. It will be interesting to see if the dragon is still going to breath fire when it’s repaired, or if Disney is going to take that feature away. We’ll see. I’m just glad no one was hurt!
