Hurricane Matthew Update for Disney World Theme Parks

Disney World has announced that the theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, miniature golf courses, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will be closing early today. This is, of course, because of Hurricane Matthew.

All the areas listed above will close at 5 p.m. today and will remain closed through Friday, October 7. Disney made the announcement on the website today, adding that the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for tonight and tomorrow night have been cancelled.

You know things are bad when Disney starts closing their parks. I have heard that they are offering full refunds for those that have tickets for the cancelled Halloween parties. So if you have a ticket for tonight or tomorrow night make sure to call Disney and see about a refund.

If you are in the area, please stay safe and listen to instructions from the hotel staff. We are thinking about everyone down there and hoping everyone remains safe during the storm!
