Hollywood Studios Update: Star Wars Fireworks Show Gets Start Date

Disney has been making quite a few announcements. Lots of things are opening and new FastPasses are becoming available. You can add another new experience to the growing list.

According to Disney Parks Blogs, the new fireworks show at Hollywood Studios will begin on June 17. It will be Star Wars themed and joins a growing list of Star Wars experiences in the park.

“Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” is being called Disney’s most elaborate fireworks display in the history of the Hollywood themed park. Here is what the show will consist of:

• Fireworks
• Pyrotechnics
• Special Effects and Video Projections – These will both help turn the Chinese Theater and other buildings into different familiar landscapes and scenes from the popular movie series.
• Music from the Star Wars movies.
• A Gigantic Lightsaber in the Sky – This will be made from a tower of fire and spotlight beams.

This sounds like it is going to be a pretty amazing display! It’s good to see Hollywood Studios get some fun experiences while parts of the park are ripped up for the future Toy Story and Star Wars lands.
