Well, maybe not history lessons, but they will be telling some stories from history the only way they can…with lots of laughs.
According to Disney Parks Blog, the Muppets will be putting on live shows in front of the Hall of Presidents. The show is called “The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History.”
Since it is a show about history, you know Sam Eagle will be part of the show. He will, as always, be trying (in vain) to set that high moral standard for the show that he strives for, but never seems to achieve. Also part of the show will be Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, and James Jefferson (town crier of Liberty Square).
To go along with the hysterical fun that is the Muppets, the show will also have an original song. The show will cover things like the midnight ride of Paul Revere and the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The Muppets are one of my favorite memories from my childhood. They made me laugh then and they make me laugh now, so I am very glad they are getting more presence in Disney World. It’s nice to see them expand outside of Hollywood Studios with Muppet presence at the parks.
“They Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History” will begin in October 2016. There is no word on whether this will be a permanent show, but I know I’m not the only one that is hoping it is. Seeing the Muppets live will definitely add to the magic of Disney World.
Are you excited for this new show?
Thanks for reading!
