Guests who have traveled to Disney World recently have seen the testing of the Disney Skyliner. This testing is increasing the anticipation of the opening of the new transportation system.
Some of the cabins have been seen without the covering, but most are still covered. However, Disney has released a video that gives a look inside one of the almost 300 cabins. They look pretty roomy, with bench seats on either side and space in the middle for a wheelchair or assistive devices.
This system is constantly in motion, so it takes minutes for the cabins to reach their destination. Disney also notes that the cabins are “specifically tailored for the Florida climate,” which has to do with the reflective coverings on the windows and the cross ventilation system.
Get a sneak peek inside one of the cabins in the video below.
There is still no opening date for the Skyliner, but Disney has said it will open in fall 2019. I imagine testing will be going on for a while, for safety reasons. We’ll keep you posted when an opening date is announced.
Are you excited for the Disney Skyliner to open?
Thanks for reading!
