Disney is constantly updating the My Disney Experience app, which is good news for users. This latest update comes with a nice improvement for ordering food ahead of time in Disney World.
The latest update now includes the option to preorder food and pay for it from your phone. This is a fantastic addition as far as I’m concerned! Hopefully this option will help to move things along in the restaurants where this is available, especially during the summer months.
When you open the app click on your character icon, this will bring you to the menu. Under “My Plan” you will see the option “Order Food.”
This option hasn’t officially started yet, but it will begin soon. Starting on May 27 with Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar. A screen will pop up when you go to the order screen with information about when it starts.
Right now that is the only restaurant available to choose, but I’m sure they will be adding more soon. I can’t see them adding this option for one restaurant or park, it’s just a question of when other restaurants will be added.
This is a helpful option that Disney included in this update. We will keep you posted as Disney releases more information and details!
