This morning, Disney made an announcement regarding Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. Part of the announcement included some new things guests can expect to see this year at the party.
To start, the first Halloween party will take place on August 9 and the last one will take place on Halloween. So, unlike the past few years, there will not be a party held within the first few days of November. Tickets will go on sale for guests staying at Walt Disney Resort hotels, the Swan and Dolphin, and Shades of Green on May 8. General sales for all guests will begin on May 15. Ticket prices will vary from $119 to $199 per ticket (ticket prices increase the closer the party date is to Halloween). Also, there is a little discount for Disney Vacation Club Members with a savings of $10 per ticket for dates in August and September only.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates
- August 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30
- September 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29

New Additions for the Halloween Party
- New costumes for Mickey and Minnie – This year both Mickey and Minnie will be at the party in their new spiderweb inspired costumes. The green and purple costumes are pretty cute and a fun update to the costumes they usually wear.
- See the Disney Villains more at the party this year – Everyone’s favorite Disney Villains will be available more at the party this year to meet and take pictures with guests.
- A new dance party comes to the Halloween party – Guests can have fun at the DescenDANCE Party, which will take place at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.
- Yes, we’re talking about Bruno! – Everyone’s favorite clairvoyant Madrigal will be joining the party right alongside Mirabel at their casita in Fairytale Garden.
Returning Favorites Include:
- Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
- Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
- Trick-or-Treating in the Park
- Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade (a guest favorite!)
- Moonlight Melodies at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
In addition to everything above, there will also be rides open for guest to enjoy, specialty food and drink, party specific merchandise, and specialty Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots. There are also some really good photo opportunities around the park. One of my favorites is how the castle is lit up green for the Halloween party, which makes a good photo backdrop for pictures.
So get your costume ready, the Halloween party will be here before you know it! Have you been to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? What’s your favorite part of the party?
Thanks for reading!
