A new group has started entertaining at the Canada Pavilion in the World Showcase at Epcot. Their name is TradNation and they will be performing on The Mill Stage.
According to Disney Parks Blog, TradNation is a representation of the French Quebec cultural heritage. The tradition is described as some that brings the community together to play music whenever there is a chance. The group plays traditional songs and even throws in some original compositions that the family has written and passed down through the generations.
TradNation takes over for the Canadian Lumberjacks show. The lumberjacks were only in Epcot for around a year and ended their run on November 24. They took over entertaining after the popular show Off Kilter was not renewed for another year.
While it is good that Disney is trying new things on the stage, it is going to be hard to replace a beloved show. The first comment under the Disney Parks Blog post said simply “Nice – but we all miss Off Kilter!” So, I think it’s going to be hard for Disney to get another show that is as popular as Off Kilter was, but we’ll see.
TradNation is only in Epcot for a limited time. They perform five days a week in the Canadian Pavilion.
Will you check out TradNation the next time you are in Epcot?
