Is Disney’s Hollywood Studios getting a new name? According to the Orlando Business Journal, Bob Iger (Walt Disney Company’s CEO) let that slip during the annual shareholders call.
Apparently, a child in the audience asked about the Hollywood Studios name and Iger said the name was changing. Then he can be heard asking someone if they had announced the name change yet. So he stopped himself from going further.
Thanks to Iger’s slip, it seems likely that Hollywood Studios will be getting a new name. This would be the second name change for the park. Disney changed from MGM Studios to Hollywood Studios in 2008.
