Yesterday I posted the picture above asking for guesses as to where the fish is located. There were some great guesses and quite a few people got it right!
The fish in the picture is part of the Muppet fountain by Muppet*Vision 3D at Hollywood Studios. So, congratulations to those that got it right!
The fish in the picture is one of several that circle the bottom of the fountain. They are joined by Rizzo the Rat and friend who are in a row boat, fishing in the fountain. The centerpiece of the fountain is Miss Piggy, who is dressed as the Statue of Liberty.
The fountain has undergone some changes recently. There used to be more characters in the fountain, like Fozzie Bear and Gonzo, but unfortunately they are no longer there. Due to construction, the fountain was turned into a planter for a period of time and when it returned as a fountain only the fish, Miss Piggy, and the rats in the row boat returned with it.
As I said above, the fountain is located near Muppet*Vision 3D, which is a fun 3D show. It’s comedy that the Muppets are known for and is good for the whole family (though there are some loud noises during the show, so be aware of that). Not only is the show good, but the decorations and props in the queue line and in the waiting area are fun to look at too. There’s a lot of detail to see!
In addition to Muppet*Vision 3D, PizzeRizzo is also located near the fountain. This is the former location of Pizza Planet and was redesigned with a Muppet theme a couple of years ago. When you walk around the area by the pizza place make sure to look at the buildings. Rizzo has put up flyers all over, trying to direct people to his restaurant.
I love this section of Hollywood Studios but I wish there was a bit more of a Muppet presence in the parks.
