Yesterday I posted the picture above asking for guesses of where this mark is located. There were a lot of great guesses and some people got it right!
The mark is actually the footprint of one of the AT-ATs at Star Tours – The Adventure Continues in Hollywood Studios. The AT-AT is in the outside queue area with one of its legs raised, leaving this mark on the ground. It’s an easy detail to miss though. Since it’s part of the outside queue line, if the line isn’t super long chances are you will just be pass by this to get to the ride.
The queue line for Star Tours is fun and detailed. Clearly, the details start before you even enter the building, but it continues as you wind your way through the queue inside. The ride itself is a really fun experience. You grab 3D glasses, board your “ship,” and take a seat. On your journey you are joined by none other than C-3PO and he is very entertaining!
The ride takes you on a journey to one of many different planets from the Star Wars universe. So you could ride this multiple times and have a different experience every time, it just depends on which adventure your ship is given. Plus, the ship encounters other Star Wars characters during each adventure.
I want to give a heads up about the ride though. Even though you are seated in a room, the room moves to match what is happening on the screen, so you feel like you are flying. If you are prone to motion sickness then this might not be for you. Otherwise, I definitely recommend checking out this ride, it’s a lot of fun!
Have you been on Star Tours?
Thanks for reading!
