Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some good guesses, but six people knew where to find Mickey.
Congratulations to Steve, Mike, Lori, Kathleen, Caroline, and Linda, who all knew this Mickey can be found at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Specifically, you can find Mickey at the top of the totem pole by the Wilderness Lodge Mercantile. The shop can be found in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge and has a variety of items for sale. Guests will find things like pins, toys, ear headbands, clothing, accessories, food, drinks, houseware items, and more. Like most Disney World Resort hotels, the gift shop will have some items that are specific to the resort. Usually, you can find mugs, pins, ear headbands, etc that will be resort specific in these gift shops.
Wilderness Lodge can be reached by boat or bus. It is a Magic Kingdom hotel, but it is not on the monorail line. This is also a Disney Vacation Club resort hotel, so there are some villas and cabins available to book (Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge). The hotel also has some popular dining locations with Story Book Dining at Artist Point and Whispering Canyon Cafe being some favorites for guests. Story Book Dining is a character dining experience with Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey, and the Evil Queen meeting guests, but it tends to book up quickly. After eating guests can take a stroll around the grounds, which are really nice, so it’s a good way to end an evening at the resort.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the Mickey and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. What’s your favorite thing to do when you visit the Wilderness Lodge?
Thanks for reading!
