Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. As always, there were some good guesses, but six people knew exactly where to find Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.
Congratulations to John, Debbie, Melanie, Cassandra, Abbie, and Lucie, who all new the picture of the Potato Heads can be found at Toy Story Mania! in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios. Specifically, this picture of Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head is located along the exit path from the ride. There are a few walls along the exit path that are fun backgrounds for pictures and this is one of them. There’s a lot of detail in this attraction from the queue line to the exit path, so chances are you’ll notice something new each time you ride.
The queue line is one of my favorites. You are the size of the toy, so everything looks pretty big. One fun thing to spot is the Etch-a-Sketch in the queue line that goes through different drawings while guests wait in line. The whole queue line is fun, but the big talking Mr. Potato Head is especially fun and he keeps guests entertained while they wait.
After you board your ride vehicle you are taken through a series of midway games where you try to get the highest score. Guests wear 3D glasses to hit 3D objects with the shooter that is attached to the ride vehicle.
The games change each time the ride vehicle moves to a new screen and the objects used to hit the targets change with the screens too. It’s pretty fun! Here is a rundown of the games in the order of appearance:
- Hamm & Eggs – You get to knock down moving and stationary barnyard animal targets with hard boiled eggs.
- Rex & Trixie’s Dino Darts – Pop balloons with darts.
- Green Army Men Shoot Camp – Break plates with baseballs.
- Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers – Toss rings on top of the Little Green Men.
- Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’ Gallery – Hit mine-carts with suction-cup darts.
