Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some really good guesses, but three people knew exactly where it find the lights.
Congratulations to Megan, Kathleen, and Shelly, who all knew the lights can be found in the new Journey of Water attraction in EPCOT. This attraction is located in the World Nature section across from The Seas with Nemo and Friends. In addition to the Journey of Water, which is themed after the movie Moana, there is also a meet and greet area with Moana near the attraction. She’s pretty popular, so check the times to see when she’s meeting so you can claim your spot in line.
The Journey of Water is a walk-through attraction that shows guests different stages of water, from the air to the ocean. Not only do guests get to see the different stages, but they can interact with the different areas as well. When we visited this attraction it was very busy, so it wasn’t easy to get to interact with all the areas, but the areas we did get to interact with were pretty fun.
One area allowed guests to put their hand over water and have the water raise and lower according to how high their hand is, this was my favorite to play around with when we visited this attraction. There’s also a part that will play music when you run your fingers through the water. Another section stops water from streaming down so guests can pass through and not get wet. At the end of the path guests can take a picture with Te Fiti (go at night if you can).
It’s a fun path to take when you are visiting EPCOT. When we visited there didn’t seem to be a time limit for how long guests can stay in the attraction. I’m not sure if that will change at any point, but that was our experience. If it is crowded, just take your time and look for openings as people move on. It’s a different experience from all the other attractions and the added bonus is that guests can go at their own pace.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the lights and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. Have you had a chance to visit Journey of Water yet? Which is your favorite interactive area?
Thanks for reading!
