Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some great guesses, but five people knew where to find the Lightning Lane sign.
Congratulations to Chase, Doug, Krislar, Melanie, and Juli who all knew that this sign is located at the entrance to Slinky Dog Dash in Hollywood Studios. Slinky Dog Dash is part of Toy Story Land and is an outdoor roller coaster. The idea of the ride is that Andy got a new roller coaster building set and built it in his backyard, complete with some familiar favorite toys. Slinky is considered a thrill ride because it does have some drops, so keep that in mind when planning your Lightning Lane selections for the day.
Toy Story Land is one of the newer lands in Hollywood Studios and has been popular since it opened. In addition to Slinky Dog Dash, there are two other rides, Alien Swirling Saucers and Toy Story Mania. For food, head to Woody’s Lunch Box, the quick service location in this area. If you’re looking to shop, there are some carts with souvenirs available for guests to browse. Coming sometime this year (Disney hasn’t narrowed the timeline) Jessie’s Trading Post, an indoor gift shop, and Roundup Rodeo BBQ, an indoor table service restaurant, will open. This is really good news for this part of the park, because there isn’t much indoor space for guests to go to in order to get a break from the heat. Now there will be a couple of indoor options, though I can pretty much guarantee the restaurant will book up fairly quickly, so don’t wait to book that when we get an opening date.
Thanks to everyone who played along this week and congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the sign! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
Have you been on Slinky Dog Dash?
Thanks for reading!
