Disney World has recently outfitted their hotel rooms with Amazon Echos with Mickey ears. These devices use Alexa to answer certain questions, give information, get help, and play games, just say “Hey Disney.”
During our most recent stay we had one of these devices in our room and while we didn’t need it for calling cast members, we did use it for the games, music, and information. The kids had fun with the trivia that is available and the soundscapes were nice background music. There are a bunch of things you can do with it though. For instance, if you need something for your room or if something in your room needs to be fixed you can notify a cast member using Hey Disney. Like any other Alexa device you can get information, like the weather for the day or what the park hours are for the day.
Do you want to wake up with a message from Mickey and friends? You can do that with Hey Disney. It will also tell a story, tell jokes, give you interactive experiences, and more! It can be a fun and helpful addition to your stay in Disney World. However, if you would rather not use the device you can always mute it. There’s a button on the top, so just make sure that is lit up red and that means it’s muted. For more information and a video highlighting how it works you can visit Disney World’s website.
Have you used “Hey Disney” in your Disney World hotel room? What is your favorite feature?
Thanks for reading!
