Since we’re talking about Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance today, I thought I would share a video of the ride. My friends and I were able to snag a time slot during our last trip and I’m so glad we did!
Since Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has opened, I have always said that you don’t need to be a huge fan of Star Wars to enjoy this new land. There are so many great details throughout the land, the shops, the restaurants, and the attractions. So it doesn’t matter if you love the movies, have only seen them once, or haven’t see them at all, the land is still fun to explore. There’s so much to see, so you could spend a good amount of time just walking around and taking in all the details.
The newest ride in Galaxy’s Edge is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. This is an extremely popular ride and Disney knew it would be, so they set up a virtual boarding queue. At first (before the closure) all the times were available right before the park opened. So you needed to get to the park 45 minutes to an hour early to make sure you were in the park and ready to get a spot. Now, Disney is offering a couple of different distribution times to spread out the time slots. If you can get a time slot I definitely recommend checking out this attraction.
The experience starts the second you enter the queue, and I’m not just talking about the decorations. All the cast members play their parts, they are either part of the Resistance or part of the First Order. Honestly, it never really feels like you are in a queue line. The second you enter the queue line you are constantly being moved from place to place and you feel as though you are part of the story. It’s a great way to take away that feeling of waiting in another line.
The ride itself lasts about 5 minutes or so. However, keep in mind there are a few things that happen before the actual ride. It feels like you are in the middle of one of the Star Wars stories. The whole attraction is really more of an experience rather than being just about the ride. It was pretty impressive and a lot of fun. Check out the video below to see some of the bigger parts of the experience.
Have you experienced Rise of the Resistance? What was your favorite part?
Thanks for reading!
