Special Character Experiences and Photo Opportunities Included with Disney PhotoPass Day

Disney PhotoPass Day happens on August 19. The day will be marked with lots of different character experiences and photo opportunities.

This is shaping up to be a fun day in Disney World. We always have fun using the Disney PhotoPass system and the Magic Shots are a fun addition to any picture. A Magic Shot is when Disney digitally adds a character or an object to your picture after it’s taken, like the picture below with Tinker Bell in my daughter’s hands.

For Disney PhotoPass Day there are going to be even more opportunities to have fun additions to your pictures. In addition, Disney will also be offering more character experiences. Guests will be able to find these photo opportunities and character experiences at all four parks and Disney Springs.

Magic Kingdom

• Character Experiences
  • Dopey – Find him with Snow White at Town Square Courtyard
  • Captain Hook – Find him with Peter Pan in Fantasyland
• Photo Opportunities
  • Dream Big Princess Photo Backdrop in Fantasyland (only available during the daylight hours)
  • Cinderella’s Coach in Fantasyland
  • “Tangled” Light Painting – Find this near Ariel’s Grotto (only available after dark)
  • Mickey Mouse Magic Shot – Find this on the Bridge Near Fairytale Garden
  • Main Street Vehicle – Find this near the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor (morning and early afternoon only)

Epcot

• Character Experiences
  • Genie – Find him with Princess Jasmine in the Morocco Pavilion
  • Mushu – Find him with Mulan in the China Pavilion
• Photo Opportunities
  • Dream Big Princess Photo Backdrop – Find this near Epcot Character Spot (daylight only)
  • Baymax Animated Magic Shot – Find this opportunity near Mouse Gear and the Fountain of Nations
  • Fisheye Lens – Find this near the fountain close to the entrance to Spaceship Earth

Hollywood Studios

• Character Experiences
  • The Queen from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil – Find them at Sunset Showcase from 10 am – 5 pm.
• Photo Opportunities
  • Dream Big Princess Photo Backdrop – Find this outside the Theater of the Stars (daylight only)
  • Poison Apple Magic Shot – Find this on Sunset Boulevard
  • Fisheye Lens – Find this in the Chinese Theatre Courtyard area

Animal Kingdom

• Character Experiences
  • Meeko – With Pocahontas at Character Landing on Discovery Island
  • Timon – Find him with Rafiki at Rafiki’s Planet Watch
  • Princess Atta – Find her with Flik at Discovery Island near Creature Comforts
• Photo Opportunities
  • Dream Big Princess Photo Backdrop – Find this before the park entrance (daylight only)
  • Jungle Book Magic Shot – Find this near the Yak & Yeti Restaurant
  • Magical Mickey Light Effects – Find this in Dinoland U.S.A. from 9 pm – 10 pm.

Disney Springs

• Photo Opportunities
  • Dream Big Princess Photo Backdrop – Find this next to the Marketplace Stage
  • Fairy Wings Magic Shot – Find this near Tren-D in the Marketplace from 1 pm – 10:30 pm

If you are only taking part in the PhotoPass System for the day you can purchase Memory Maker One Day for $59. These pictures and experiences sound like a great way to make some fun memories in Disney World!
