This week’s Snackshot may not be the item that Gideon’s is know for, but it’s definitely tasty.
Gideon’s Bakehouse is known for their 1/2lb, delicious cookies. It didn’t take long for this location to gain quite following, to the point where they need to have a virtual queue sometimes, because the line gets so long. Cookies are not the only thing that Gideon’s serves though, and I recommend trying some of the other menu items. Other items on the menu include cake slices, hot cookie hour (guests get fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies), Gideon’s Bites (quartered cookies dipped in chocolate), Gideon’s Nitro Cold Brew, local milk, and Coca Cola products.
While the cookies are the main attraction of the menu, we’re focusing on the cake slices today. These are not just small slices, they’re definitely sharing slices that you get. Each slice is three layers of cake, with two layers of frosting in between slices. Like the cookies, cake flavors will also be rotated in and out of availability. The two full cakes in the picture are the Rainbow Crunch Cake and the Peanut Butter Cold Brew Cake. The cake slices are of the two previous mention cakes and the Eternal Flame Double Frosted Cake and Peanut Butter and Jelly Cake.
My family and I tried the Rainbow Crunch Cake and the Peanut Butter Cold Brew Cake, and both were equally enjoyed. If you have a sweet tooth, then I would recommend trying a slice of cake the next time you visit Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs, in addition to the cookies, of course.
Hope you enjoyed this week’s Snackshot! Have you ever tried the cakes at Gideon’s Bakehouse?
Thanks for reading!
