It was a bummer when Disney announced that Seashore Sweets was closing. The cute little sweet shop had baked goods, ice cream, a wall of candy, and more. I really enjoyed going in there during our last trip. However, it looks like guests will be able to get their sweets fix on Disney’s Boardwalk again and it will be available soon.
According to Disney Parks Blog, Ample Hills Creamery will be opening soon. This is a creamery that is from a Brooklyn-based company and it will be their first location outside of New York City. You will be able to see into the kitchen from the boardwalk, which will be a fun feature.
Ample Creamery is known for their fun flavors of ice cream and guests can expect to see some of those on the menu. You can sample the different flavors before making a decision and I have a feeling once people see all the different flavors available they will want to sample more than one.
Here are some examples of the flavors:
- Ooey Gooey Butter Cake
- Coffee Toffee Coffee
- Malty Salty Pretzel Punch
- Cotton Candy
Disney also says that they’re looking to make a one-of-a-kind flavor for Disney World. Can’t wait to hear what the flavor will be!
I’m still a little bummed about Seashore Sweets being closed, but hopefully Ample Hills Creamery will help to fill the void.
No word on when exactly they will open, but Disney is saying this spring. So I’m guessing it will be opening within the next couple of months. They will publish more details the closer it gets to the opening of the creamery.
We will keep you posted with any new information that becomes available.
Are you excited to try this new turn-of-the-century ice cream parlor?
Thanks for reading!
