This week’s mouse ears in the spotlight are an older style Disney Princess pair of ears.
These were our daughter’s first pair of ears. She was 6 months old, so they were definitely big on her, but they looked really cute on her. Unfortunately, I have not seen these on DisneyStore.com or the Shop Disney Parks app. However, that does not mean they are not available in the park.
The hat itself is pink and a bit fuzzy. So it’s very soft to the touch, which is nice. Written on the hat is “Disney Princess” with a crown over the ‘P.’ It’s written in big letters, so there is no mistaking that the hat is being worn by a Disney Princess.
The ears on the hat are pink and each have silver stars, which add some magic to the hat. In between the ears there is a pink crown made of soft material and on the front of the crown is a Mickey outline. Around the bottom of the crown is pink crinoline, giving it a very princess feel.
To keep the hat on the child’s head there is an elastic strap. That definitely comes in handy when exploring the parks.
As I said above, I’m not sure if this hat is still available in the parks, but there is another princess hat available online and on the app. This princess hat has a veil in the back and has a tiara (with some plastic jewels) on the front of the hat. The pink crinoline is still on the hat in between the ears, but there is no crown. The ears on the newer hat are a solid silver color instead of pink with silver stars.
If you are going to Disney World you can try the Emporium in Magic Kingdom or the World of Disney Store in Disney Springs. Both of those stores have a pretty big selection of mouse ear hats.
