Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of Magic Kingdom’s most popular events. With fun shows, a popular parade, trick-or-treating, special food options, and more, this is definitely a fun time at Magic Kingdom.
Since we are just a few days away from the start of the party, I thought it would be good to review details about it for those that are attending or those that are on the fence. It’s definitely a favorite among my family and when we visit in the fall, the Halloween party is usually something we try to experience. So this year the party begins on August 7 and will run on select nights through October 31. Some dates have already sold out, so before planning anything I would check the calendar to make sure your preferred date is still available.
Halloween Party Dates
- August 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30
- September 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29
- October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31
Disney added a planning tip this year regarding the days of the week the party will take place.
Planning Tip: To help conjure your fiendish pursuits, note that in August, party dates occur on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This is also true for September with the addition of one Thursday date on September 24. In October, ghouls can descend upon Magic Kingdom every Thursday; most Fridays, Sundays, most Tuesdays; and Saturday on Halloween.
Guests who have a ticket for the Halloween party can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm, and the party officially begins at 7pm.

Trick-or-Treating
This is a fun part of the party for a lot of people. Getting to trick-or-treat around Magic Kingdom is such a unique experience. Plus, the amount of candy cast members give out at each stop will fill up bags quickly (definitely bring a bigger bag, Disney only gives tiny ones). At each stop guests will get scoops of things like M&Ms, Snickers, and Starbursts.
