This quick service pizza place opened last fall in Hollywood Studios. It is in the same location that housed the Toy Story themed pizza place, Pizza Planet.
While I really enjoy the Toy Story movies, I love the new theme of this pizza restaurant. The Muppets have taken it over, well Rizzo in particular, and it definitely has “Muppet” written all over it. There’s no mistaking who the new “owners” of this restaurant are when you see it from the outside. Of course, the name is a giveaway too.
The fun Muppet theme continues when you enter the restaurant, just take a look at the garbage cans. When you enter the restaurant you will be taken past some merchandise with the PizzeRizzo logo* (mugs, t-shirts, etc.) and then you will make your way to the quick service area.
*Edit: Thanks to Main Street Wishes reader, Elena, who found out you cannot buy the merchandise (unfortunately). She asked if she could buy a t-shirt and was told they do not sell merchandise.
The quick service area is very open and there are a lot of cast members to help move things along. When I was there a cast member was handing out menus so guests could look while they wait. There are screens with the menu above the kitchen too, so don’t worry if you don’t get a menu. You will be able to see the menu while you wait in line. The kitchen is open, which allows you to see into the kitchen when you walk in the restaurant. That helps to add to the openness of the restaurant.
When it is your turn to order you will give the cast member your order, pay (and get your receipt), and move to the counter in front of the kitchen. Once your order is ready another cast member will bring it to the counter.
There are a few different seating areas for guests. The downstairs has booths that have curtain partitions, tables are set up around the border, and the floor is red, white, and green. Upstairs the tables have a red and white checkered pattern on them. There are booths (with more curtain partitions) and tables available upstairs. Make sure to look around at the decorations on the wall if you eat upstairs. Things like New York subway signs decorate the walls, helping to add to the theme of the restaurant.
I decided to sit in the ballroom area of the restaurant. The ballroom was recommended to me by a cast member and I’m glad I took his recommendation. The ballroom is a fun room filled with wedding decorations (because Rizzo is throwing a wedding reception and you’re invited!), complete with spinning disco ball and big chandeliers. Fun music also plays while you eat. This room only has tables, no booths, but the tables and chairs look a bit more “fancy” than the other seating areas in the restaurant.
Both the upstairs and the downstairs offer outdoor seating. There are also stations around the restaurant with utensils, napkins, etc. Something else to point out is that in addition to stairs, there is an elevator available in the restaurant, as you can see in the picture below.
Now to move from the decor to the food. The menu has four different pizzas to choose from: Cheese ($9.49), Pepperoni ($9.99), Meat Lovers ($10.69), or Vegetable ($9.99). Guests can also order meatball sub ($9.99) or an antipasto salad ($10.49). The pizzas and sub will come with a Caesar Salad. The kids can choose from a cheese pizza ($6.49), a mini chicken sub ($6.99), or a Power Pack which is yogurt, apple wedges, carrot sticks, Goldfish Crackers, apple-cinnamon snack bar, and choice of small lowfat milk or small water ($5.99). If you want a sweet treat you can get a tiramisu ($4.59) or cannoli ($4.99) for dessert. Both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are also available.
I decided on the pepperoni pizza and a cannoli for dessert. We have a lot of great pizza restaurants around where we live (Connecticut/New York area), so it’s easy to get a little picky about pizza. However, for fast food pizza this was not bad. It was a quick meal for the middle of the day and it worked. The salad that came with the pizza was good too and I enjoyed the cannoli at the end of the meal. It was a filling lunch and only cost around $20.
I really enjoyed my time in this restaurant. In my opinion they did a really good job with the redesign. The new decor is really fun. Make sure to look around at all the decorations while you are there. Also, don’t forget to check out the garbage cans. Disney has a habit of having the garbage cans match the theme of the area where they are located and they definitely match the Muppet theme.
Here is a quick video tour of PizzeRizzo.
If you have a chance when you are in Hollywood Studios I would stop in and check out this place. Definitely don’t miss the ballroom, even if you sit somewhere else stop in to the ballroom after you are done eating. It’s fun place to get a quick meal!
Have you been to PizzeRizzo yet?
Thanks for reading!

I was there today & asked if they sold the t-shirts. My maiden name is Rizzo. I was hoping to buy a shirt. I was told they didn’t (sell merchandise)
Hi Elena!
That’s too bad they don’t sell merchandise. I really thought they did. Hopefully, they’ll have some PizzeRizzo merchandise available at some point. I think they would be able to make some fun items with Rizzo. Love the Muppets! Thank you for the update on the merchandise, I’ll edit the post to reflect what you found out. 🙂
