Rumors have been going around that changes would be happening soon at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. However, Disney had not officially announced anything until today. So now we know what changes will soon happen at the popular restaurant.
Disney has announced that starting on July 27 Be Our Guest Restaurant will be offering an “enhanced dining experience” for guests. This new dining experience is a prix fixe dinner menu with items that are French-inspired dishes. The new prix fixe dinner menu will be a three-course meal that includes an appetizer, entree, and a personal dessert platter. For the appetizers and entrees guests will be able to pick from a list of choices on the menu.
According to Disney, the chefs have not finished adding desserts or the kid’s menu for this dining experience, but they do have a list of appetizers and entrees. Disney has shared some of these items that will be on the new prix fixe dinner menu.

- Charred Octopus – Served with citrus-laced fingerling potatoes, pickled hearts of palm, and red pepper coulis
- Escargot – Served with herb garlic butter and toasted gremolata

Sadness. My daughter had the best salmon ever. We vowed to have it every trip and now it is off the menu. We are gluten free and this menu limits our choices. Go back, go back, I say. if we eat there again, we may have to dress like pirates and form a mutiny.
I understand keeping with the culture, but this is a child/family oriented place, could they have some more reasonable food choices?
On our last visit my grandson had the “best steak” that he ever had. We were looking forward to ordering the steak on our next visit but now it’s off the menu! He is going to be so disappointed..!
We loved Be Our Guest and ate there twice this past Christmas. We had the steak au frites and loved it. It was such a great value for Disney dining plan purchasers. Hopefully they don’t change the breakfast from quick service credit to a table service credit. We love Be our Guest and will definitely go back on our next trip!!
Hi Linda!
It sounds like the only changes being made are to the dinner menu, so breakfast should remain as a fast casual offering.
Will not be eating there again. Why do they change things when it is not broken.
Unfortunately this may be a very short lived experiment with this restaurant. I don’t see people using a 2nd meal for a rushed limited themed dining experience. I hope it’s just a Trial period. They do well with their regular menu, good selection. Love their Onion soup and Gray Stuff, “don’t believe me, ask the Dishes”. As with any corporation change is always a necessity. Hopefully they find an alternative.
Changinging the menu is good and all, but a second credit??
Yeah, I think the second credit is where they are going to lose a lot of people.
